Top of the Playlist

I've been watching Sound of Music, and I love the soundtrack! So much so I know every word to every song. Possible most of the script to. Anyway the point I mean to make is that today's playlist will be a list of my top three favourite songs from the playlist (choosing just three will be hard but I will manage). The three I have chosen are as followed;
1) How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria
2) So Long Farewell
3) 16 Going On 17

If you don't know this film I suggest you clear 178 mins of your schedule and sit back and enjoy the best musical known to mankind. Take in every glorious musical number and each beautiful scene done by Julie Andrews. It may be from 1965 but it is still one of my most favorite movies.

Well Sunny Salutations Spectators

November 26th: Day Eight

I'm gonna start this one with a confession. I lied to all of you last day. I said I was going to go out today and do some christmas shopping, among other thing but I didn't do any of it. Besides being a clutz and spilling every drink I've tried to enjoy today, and watching more than my fill of my movies I've spent the day writing.

I'm not the best writer, only my mother would tell you that and she's got way too much bias to be taken seriously (though she does always tell me I have no career in music, so I should refrain from quitting my day job - not that it makes me much money anyway). Though there is some fraction of joy I receive from writing out fantasies. My current story is about a girl, a prophecy, werewolves, and war. It's rather exciting in my head, I wish I could convey the scenes in my head into words for others to view the same picture better. It's got lots of action and I'm finding it hard to connect them without using the same sentence starter over and over again, not to mention how choppy it sound when I read over it. Still it provides me with a way to escape into another world, a world I create, one better than the one I'm forced to deal with in the real world.

That might explain why I like books and movies so much as well. Any escape I can find I take. Every alternate reality created in fiction I would take over my current one. Even if I was one of those New Yorkers who gets crushed by a building, or that friend in the Asylum that doesn't make it out. Admittedly I would prefer to be the sidekick like Bartok or Morph, but either way I would give anything to be a character in a fiction story than a real person. Though I'm sure there's a word to describe such desires, after all there's bound to be a whole slew of people out there who feel the same way, right? Maybe a few of you reading now feel that way.

Moving on from my daydreaming I don't know what else to report and that makes me feel like a horrible blogger, I've barely made it to having a gray bar, and it didn't even have a warning that it would be a short blog like last time (and last time didn't even end up short). I guess I'll leave with my apology on this short and depressing blog, I'll attempt to make tomorrows more interesting for you; maybe I'll try grocery shopping.

Top of the Playlist Seven

The seventh day of songs. The only single digit number with two syllables, a crazy day. Moving on, today's songs are so hard to narrow it down to just three, and one of them that I feel is totally a top play I am saving for december first as my kick off into christmas song. So many good songs, but think I'm gonna have to say todays top three were;
1) She's So Mean by Matchbox Twenty
2) Rude by Magic!
3) Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars

(fancy..)
➿➿➿➿➿➿➿➿➿➿➿➿➿➿➿➿➿➿
(...line breaker)

Alright First song incase you were distracted by the beautiful loopy line breaker is She's so Mean by Matchbox Twenty. The first time I heard this song I was living in Trail B.C and was obsessed with watching the MTV Music Countdown. I would watch that show every morning before school and then talk about it with my best friend at school, we'd discuss what songs we were going to vote for and such. I loved this song from the moment I heard it. I hope you love it to.
Second song was Rude by Magic! I'd be surprised if you guys didn't know this song since was so popular not that long ago. I think the first time I heard it was actually the parody on facebook that the father guy did. I don't care if you guys are sick of this song since it was way overplayed on the radio I still love it so here is Magic!
Last but certainly not least is Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars, but really just performed by Mars and either written or produced by Ronson (can't remember which). I have loved Bruno Mars since he come out with the lazy song way back in like grade seven, in fact he's one of the few new artists that I like (I say new in italics because for me new is like anyone who became popular after 2007). This song I feel is like Jay's theme song, though she'd probably pick something Kpop or Nightcore. Since I've yet to meet someone who hates this song, please enjoy.

(I can't listen to this song the same way after seeing EXO crack though, anyone who has seen it will understand)

November 25th: Day Seven

Yo! What's up my peps? Got a short blog for ya'll today, seeing as I spelt in and worked late.

The morning started out averagely, got myself and the kitty some breakfast then enjoyed some kids tv - graciously provided by Netflix for a fee of 9.99 a month (which used to be 7.99 but you know everything is so expensive now). I think we watched cloudy with a chance, but it might have been Shrek: Forever After.

Work was decent, there was a closing rush which sucked since I miscalculated this poor ladies order (I forgot she had a gift card) so even after she had gone back to get more things (3 times) so she would spend enough to make it past the deposit and tax, she didn't get her bonus air miles (which was 200 hundred bonus). Since I screwed up I had to return her order (every item individually for $147), then re-scan it all with the added items (so that it would be over the 150 - ended up 154-ish) and finally she got her air miles!
The whole process from start, to find, to return, to re-scan took over a half hour (I felt so bad for her, I doubt anyone wants to spend that long at the check out). That meant my coworker (the office lady) had to cash for the other customers making her behind on her work (another reason I felt so horrible for screwing up), and I got out four minutes late missing my bus.
Luckily the bus that came after mine had a super nice driver, who let me off at the light to his exit so that I only had a four minute walk instead of a 46 min walk home.

I don't know how many of you readers live in Canada with me, or even in my town. So I don't know if you guys got a similar letter from your rep. in Ottawa about the possible carbon tax, but I'm gonna mention it anyway.
We are in the middle of a major recession, especially Alberta because of the whole plummet in gas business and now the government is suggesting putting roughly a 10 cent tax on gas to deal with carbon emissions. Now I'm all for trying to be greener and reducing pollutions but isn't this kinda, really bad for everyone? 10cents is a lot when you think about how its already almost 10 cents a liter, then you think about the how it'll affect the cost of food and goods. Since its a carbon tax, its on all carbon emitting products, not just gas; so how heat will cost more to. I seriously doubt the average Canadian can afford this new tax.
I agree we need a bigger budget for dealing with the alarming rate at which we are contributing to the destruction of our planet, and a bigger budget means more tax, but there has got to be something better. Even if we have to wait until we can stabilize our economy a bit more.
I admit I don't know much about anything dealing with taxes, gas pricing, the economy, and government outside what I hear in the media - which can only be taken with a grain of salt. But I still feel like this might not be the best thing to start now.
What do you guys think? Anyone know more then me and wanna chime in - either the affirmative or negative?

I guess that little rant concludes todays blog - which didn't turn out as short as I thought it would. Please feel free to comment thoughts, opinions. Do you like Cloudy with a Chance? Do you think I was the most incompetent cashier ever? Do you think this Carbon Tax is a good or bad thing?

Top of the Playlist 4, 5, 6

Following the blog post for today being the combination of three days I'm posting nine of my favourite songs from over the past three days on one post.

November 22nd
Tuesday's top songs were Cruella De Ville from the 101 Dalmatians Disney Soundtrack, Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head by B.J Thomas, as well as Higitus Figitus from The Sword in the Stone Disney Soundtrack.
I absolutely adore Rogers humor, and the soft piano, jazziness of the song. "If she doesn't scare you no evil thing will, to see her is take a sudden chill, Cruella, Cruella"

I don't know about you but listening to this song just makes me feel happy. "Raindrops keep falling on my head, but that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin red, crying's not for me cause I'll never stop the rain by complaining"

This is Merlin's first song in the movie and it has always been my favourite song in the film. I used to wave a pen around pretending I could use magic to pack up my room for trips.

November 23rd
Wednesdays songs would without a doubt be I'm Still Here by John Rzeznik, Thomas O'Malley from the Aristocats Disney Soundtrack, and The Depths Below by The Cog is Dead.

This song was like the song for teenagers. It totally explained the whole I don't know who I am, but I know best for me, and I just went your approval and love that I felt as a teen and I'm sure many others did as well.
Thomas O'Malley is probably my favourite Disney street character, along with the Tramp of course. This song is just so slay and has the same smooth disney jazz that I absolutely adore.

Sorry for the crappy video but this song is totally worth it. This song falls under the Steampunk category of music and is both hauntingly enchanting as well as comical.

November 24th
Todays top three songs are mostly likely To and Fro from The Sword in the Stone Disney Soundtrack, Fearless (250 and Dark Stars) by Falling Up ft. Exit Lights, and My Copycat by Orange Caramel.
This is by far my favourite song to play while I am cleaning - probably why its on the top of today's playlist since I had to clean my flat. This movie has the best music numbers, and this was probably my second favorite scene, besides Wizard Duel and Dish Washing

Sorry about the change in format for video link, I was having troubles finding one that would work in the blog site. This song was worth the trouble of getting a free site to work.
I love this song, the official music video is even cooler - is a search and find! So if you get the chance look it up definitely worth it

Hope you enjoyed these songs as much as I have over the past few days. Leave me any suggestions of your favorite songs. I'll listen to them all

Fantabulous Evening Folks

November 24th: Day Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth

Sorry guys, guess I've sorta neglected you guys. I haven't done much to report in the last three days that's even really worth a blog post but I'll waste the word space on it anyway. I'll try and go in order of the days I missed for you guys.

November 22nd
Way back on Tuesday I had a pretty busy day. I had a morning class, followed by a study session, and teacher meeting, and then an evening class. The study session, teacher meeting, and evening class were with my friend Yuki. She'd got the most adorable greyhound, which I also got to walk. I took the test that the study center was for today, I think it went really well. The meeting I had with the teacher was on a question that ended up on my test so it worked out really well that Yuki and I made the appointment with him.

November 23nd
So this was wednesday and I spent the morning reading, the afternoon working, and evening in class. I managed to injure myself on a rounded corner of my till screen. It's a pretty ugly cut, which just proves how talented I am. See the till had decided that it didn't want to read the customers card so I was moving tills. My hand brushed against the edge of the till as I moved away and RIIIIIIIP, there went my skin (disclaimer: things may be exaggerated for effect). Luckily my shift was almost over, so it didn't impede my ability to work. But it has been pretty painful all day today, I had to waste a band aid on it.
At the same time Kay managed to get attacked by her tea. Long story short the kettle was broken so she put something on it, she forgot that the thing was on top as she poured the water out of the kettle it fell into her cup and splashed tea into her eye and clogged her tear duct for the rest of the day. She hasn't given me an update, so I assume she is doing well, no more itchy eyes.

November 24th
Today was pretty drab. I had my morning class, took the test - the one I mentioned earlier - and then I met up with my Psychology Group mates so that we could discuss what we needed to put our project together as well as how we were all faring in our data collection. We are planning to finish the project up on Monday. Then this evening I was suppose to hang out with my best friend Jay, what I assume would be all night. But her mom showed up and said she was gonna take her to a club, so she left. I got to give her my cheesy card and donuts though, and she said she loved them, so something worked out.

I guess that's it for this post. Three days and about the same length as usual lol, another factor proving how unexciting my past few days have been. Tomorrow is the last day I work for the next week and I have quite a few plans so hopefully I can have something more for you guys coming up. Have a great night guys.

Top of the Playlist 3

I've got three new songs (well ones not mentioned previously) for you. They are all kinda similar in their soft, slowness. They are all considered a form of rock (alternative, indie, soft). I hope you enjoy them as much as I have today.

The first on the list is You Found Me by The Fray. I've loved this song since the first time I heard it on the radio way back in 2007 when I lived in the basement of our house. That was a great bedroom, had its own on-suite.

Second is Narcissistic Cannibal by EarlyRise. My friend Jay showed me this song back in july and I've rarely gone a day without listening to it since. It's an amazing song.

Last song on my list for you today is Scars by Boy Epic. According to most youtube titles this song was also in Suicide Squad, but as I mentioned yesterday I haven't seen the movie yet and I haven't seen it in the OST Album on Apple Music so I can't be certain. Either way I hope you enjoy this enchanting beat.

Thanks for reading and watching. Hope you enjoyed my playlist today, come back tomorrow for more. As usual feel free to leave comments, I love new music, by extension I love suggestions, so tell me your favourite songs.

Mavelous Evening Peps

November 21st: Day Three

Okay so I mentioned last time that today was a work day and, ugh, it was so long for such a short shift. Totally wiped me out, being that this blog will probably be shorter than my other ones. There are two things I feel like mentioning though; 1) My pinecone moment and 2) Present Mishap.

I'll start with the Present Mishap because it's the easiest to explain. I mentioned how I order my best friend Kay her favourite online book in printed form. Well I guess I should have double checked the dimensions instead of going with the cheapest size because they came in today and they are kinda of too big. I wanted them to be normal novel size so it would be easier and more convenient for her to read them at work and on the go, but... they are the size of a textbook; 8.5 inches by 11 inches. Not exactly the easiest to work with. I'm sure she will still love it, but it's kinda disappointing. Not too mention one of the chapter pages ended up starting at the bottom of a page instead on its own (which I know is gonna bug her as much as it bugs me). I suppose it's the thought that counts anyway lol.

Lets see if I can explain what I mean by Pinecone Moment, since I can't find the picture that would clearly define what I mean. I often lose my words and so I have a set of descriptions and hand-gestures that I use to try and convey the word I've forgotten, but they are kinda confusing. My best friend Kay understands what I mean, it's almost like we read each others mind sometimes (Which is other story, kinda funny you should remind me to tell you another time). About a year ago I found this picture that goes something like this;
me: Whats those egg shaped things that grow on trees?
me: The only word coming to mind is cucumbers
Kay: You mean pinecones?
me: Yes! Pinecones!
(If I can find the photo I'll update it into the post for you guys)
Well that kinda happened to me today at work, only Kay wasn't there to explain what I was trying to say so I stood there making hand-gestures. I was looking for the word onion but what came out was - those red circle things that sting and taste good fried, but you have to cut first. It was kinda embarrassing but the person didn't seem to think anything bad of me, they seemed rather amused.

Well that pretty much sums up my day. A tiring five hour shift with a small pinecone moment, proceeded by receiving a disappointing gift surprise. Now I'm gonna go and watch a movie or two before bed.

Good Night Lovelies

Top of the Playlist 2

I got three new top favorite songs for you guys today.

The first one is Bubbly Toes by Jack Johnson. This song is the perfect happy rain song. It is marginally romantic and makes me always want to groove.

The second song for you guys is actually a pretty popular song right now because it played in this really popular movie (that I never saw by the way). This song is Heathens by Twenty-One Pilots.

Lastly but certainly not leastly (is that even a word?) is The Willow Maid by Eurtan. This song I find so enchanting, I can almost see the whole story happening as the song plays out. Such a sad, yet fitting ending, but still a happy song.

Hope you guys enjoyed my playlist for today. Let me know what you liked or didn't and feel free to leave me song suggestions. They might even show up in next day's blog post.

November 20th: Day Two

Hello again, it's me Miss Nobody back with another thrilling day of movies and chilling. I said I would try and make today more exiting so that you'd have a more thrilling read but honestly I failed.

I watched four movies - which is pretty impressive since I slept till one. They were The Snow Queen, Cinderella (the live action one), Sherek, and Tangled. They are all old favorites of mine; watched them each at least 100 times. Though they probably don't make my list of top 10 movies they are still really good for filling time.
I was thinking of trying to find Happily Never After or maybe Mythica: The Necromancer before bed. Both of them are great movies. It's been forever since I've seen Happily Never After and it fits with the them I kinda have been following today, but Mythica has Degan. I'll probably keep with the theme I've got going, but charmingly sarcastic half elf, rogues are a tempting switch.
Totally my favourite of his lines from the third movie The Necromancer. Everytime I watch that movie I have to post that bit on snapchat, even though none of my friends actually have seen that movie to know why I'm gushing over it so hard. Doesn't really matter though, Degan is amazing whether anyone really knows of the movie or not. (P.S. If you like Skyrim type video game styled movies with 75% good acting, I totally recommend looking these movies up and making a day of it)

In other news I made myself soup! Vegetable Soup to be exact, and I am very proud of myself. Usually I am a terrible cook but this time I managed to only burn the onions. I asked my best friend Kay for the recipe, which is probably why it worked out. She texted me step by step instructions so I didn't screw it up.
I love my salt, in fact I hardly eat anything without it but I made this soup a little too salty even before adding any extra salt so I must have done something wrong. Still a great dinner and cheaper than ordering anything.
I'd post a picture of it to go along with this passage but I kinda ate it before I had the chance to take a decent picture for you guys. Next time though I promise I will take the best picture of my soup and post it to make you all jealous that you can't have any (mawhahaha...haha...haaa...cough...cough).

I also recall stating yesterday that I would post a picture today of my christmas book tree so....
Voliá my beautiful and most expensive little tree with a little angle on top that sings a story of how she got her wings (a gift from my grandmother quite a few years ago, she even has her own to framed portraits). I think I did a rather good job with it. I did move it today though, I didn't like the original location my the bookshelf so I moved it by the couches. All it needs now are some lights, maybe even a ball or two (that is if they won't just fall off).

Movies, soup, tree... what else did I do today that I could mention without boring you guys to death? Sweeping, nah boring. Cleaning couch, also drab. I tuned my guitar, that's not so bad. I couldn't remember really any of my songs just a handful of cords so after I tuned it I just sorta made up my own songs. Guess that wasn't very interesting was it. Sorry lol

I work tomorrow though, gotta go flaunt my great customer service skills as the happiest cashier to ever annoy you! Well at least people always comment on how cheery I seem, especially when I'm working late. I always get comments like "How can you be so cheerful at this time of night?", or "How do you manage to stay so happy?", etc. Answer is.... I've taken a lot of drama classes and had to endure a seriously cranky and over criticizing family growing up. I've learned how to fake it till I make it.

Well I guess I'll wrap this entry up here and move on to that bed time movie.

Wishing you a Wondrous While

Top of the Playlist

Don't know if you guys like Kpop at all but this is the dance practice version of Boombayah by Black Pink. Hope you like it as much as I do!

Totally in love with this song and man can these girls ever dance (its why I had to share it with you guys)! I'm so jelly of their talent. What's more Jay can dance just like them, I swear she's even done this dance for one of her school things before - the girl is absolutely incredible but like all artists she doesn't see it.

If Kpop isn't really your style hopefully you like alternative rock bands because just slightly below my girls on the most awesome songs ever (for the moment) are..... Wherever You Go by The Calling

And... Misery Buisness by Paramore

This two song are so different, yet I love them both so much I hope you do to. Music is the soundtrack to my life, it is always playing. Even know it's playing (not either of these songs but it's still going all the same).

You guys got any favourite tunes you'd like to share? Cast me a comment and I'll be sure to look it up. If I like it enough it might even end up in my next playlist blog.

Keep Jamming my Friends

The Cat

So I have a cat who is my whole world in more ways than one and I doubt any of you follow me on Snapchat because no-one does (how could I be miss nobody if I had a bunch of followers that makes like no sense lol) but if you did you would see how over run it is with pictures and videos of my baby doing all the nothings that cats do all day lol. His name is the Tell Tale Heart (like the story by Poe, because I'm a nerd). Here's a little show of my puddy cat from snapchat cause he's adorable!

He is such a character - he even eats his food with his paws when he doesn't think you're looking (I'll have to try and get a video for you guys). I really lucked out with him, especially since I rescued him and his previous home wasn't the best. He's really cuddly to. So cuddly that I have to keep my uniform for work is a drawer and put it on at work or it'll be more white then black. I wouldn't have him any other way.
Some more pictures of my baby - isn't he the cutest! He loves to sleep on the top of the couch when my lap is full - mainly when I'm doing a bit of writing or reading some fanfiction (have you guys every heard of FastForward cause if not - and if you like fanfiction - you should totally check her out, she is 🎵a-maz-ing🎵). Aww I just love him so much, but I'll stop gushing at you now.

Have a Fantabulous Evening/Morning/Day Everyone

P.S. if you decide you do want to follow my weird, pointless snapchat you can find me at t.dayka, I'm even on instagram as taylordayka, and twitter TheMarvelousMim

November 19th: Day One

Hmm... well it's blog day one so this would be our first encounter. So... Hi, how you guys? (since I can't hear your response I'll assume you guys are doing fine).
I don't know how you found your way here, but since you have thank you for checking in, I hope I don't bore you into an early grave; after all my life isn't that that interesting. That's not really the point though... so moving on.

So it's almost december, which means it's almost christmas and I am super excited. Eleven days ago I ordered my best friend, Kay, her xmas gift. I think she's totally gonna love it! Its her favourite trilogy that isn't in print, and I got it print special for her! Can't wait to she her face when she opens it. Gonna be the stoic face of overwhelmed happiness that she's famous for.
Now I only need to figure out what to get my other bestie, Jay, and my mother for christmas. Maybe I'll get Jay something from Hot Topic - we love that store, she more then me. As for mom, I have absolutely no idea. She needs to have the best ,most thoughtful, gift ever... there will be no settling! There is only 34 days to find the perfect gift for both of them.
In other news, I built myself a tree with all my books - or half a tree anyway. I made the base a little wide so the books didn't end up completing the tree - I'll re-try it tomorrow; maybe even post a photo for you.

Moving away from christmas thoughts I also re-stocked my fridge and .... drum roll please... my snack cupboard! Now I can finally have proper meals and invite people over to enjoy snacks and drinks. Should probably clean before inviting people over though - the book tree left the living-room in a bit of disrepair.
I indulged my Sherlock addiction to, watching the movie The Abdominal Bride. Think I might rewatch season three tomorrow, they kinda skipped a few episode on the Netflix version - as usual lol. I swear BBC did the best job on Sherlock then most of the versions I've seen! Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman fit so perfectly!
I can say I've never watched or read any Doctor Strange stuff but I really want to see the new movie that I saw is coming out - or came out, I'm not really all that update on things lately lol

Well I don't know what else to tell you about today, I didn't do much. Mostly relaxed and avoided my school reading (Sherlock is much more interesting than textbooks). So I guess that means this is the end, hope you didn't find it too dull. I'll try to do more tomorrow, be more exciting... but don't get your hopes up 😆

Thanks For Reading from Miss Nobody
